Eighteen Months

Dear Isaac,

I wanted to briefly acknowledge your newest milestone, officially reaching the eighteen month mark!  I cannot believe that you have been with us for only a year and a half – you seem like such an intrinsic part of our family’s makeup.   You are such a little person now, babbling all the time, throwing your little fits, and trying to climb all over the furniture.  You are so much fun and we try not to laugh (in front of you) at things you do that we should not encourage.

You have most of your teeth, but we are still trying to remember to brush them regularly.  You have excellent aim; whether you are throwing a ball or chucking your food off your tray, you rarely miss.  You still sleep decently, and have recently taken to sleeping all through the night, most nights.  And you have really good rhythm, which we have discovered at high school games when you clap along with the Pep Band.

I am still waiting for your language explosion or any day I can become “Momma” instead of “Boppa”.  I can’t wait to see and hear what you are thinking!

We still think you are the best thing ever, Isaac, and we love you so much.  You are fun to watch, fun to be with, absolutely all boy but still willing to cuddle when you wake up from a nap.  You may be exhausting some days, but I wouldn’t trade the exhaustion for anything, little man.

Love,

Mom
